Job Description Summary The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager – Infrastructure and Platform will be a key leader in a new AI enablement team within our defense systems business. The team’s mission is to accelerate time-to-value with AI by enabling safe, scalable experimentation and maturing successful pilots into enterprise-grade solutions. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders and multiple DT/technical teams to define scope, requirements, and execution plans that enable deployment and integration of AI and related technologies. You will own program execution end-to-end, driving clarity, alignment, and transparency across all parties. The successful candidate will embody an innovators DNA Handler mindset: proactive, resourceful, bias to action, and relentlessly focused on turning AI potential into measurable outcomes. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Program and backlog management Own the platform product backlog and intake: how platform work is requested, prioritized, sequenced, and released Translate the Director's roadmap into a resourced plan with physical dates and one named owner per action Run the daily management, WOR, and MOR cadence for the platform team — managing the plan to Green rather than reporting status Golden-path adoption Drive adoption of the single golden-path delivery pipeline across the four product-development teams, tracking adoption and removing friction Coordinate the onboarding of teams onto shared services and the paved road, with clear entry criteria and support Stakeholder and dependency management Manage dependencies between the platform team and the product and architecture teams without formal authority, using transparent intake and prioritization criteria Broker trade-offs and surface conflicts early, escalating with options attached rather than letting dates slip silently Standard work and metrics Define and maintain the standard work for platform intake, change, and release Instrument platform adoption, reliability, and delivery metrics (including DORA) and report them into the operating rhythm Basic qualifications (required) Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associate's degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Technical Program Management or IT. Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience. Eligibility requirement Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE Aerospace will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job. Desired characteristics (preferred, not mandatory) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Agilist or Product Owner, or PMP certification. Experience managing an infrastructure, platform, or DevOps program as a product, including backlog and roadmap ownership. Working knowledge of CI/CD, cloud environments, and the mechanics of a golden-path delivery pipeline. Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of a shared standard across teams that do not report to you. Fluency instrumenting and reporting delivery metrics, including DORA (lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, time-to-restore). FLIGHT DECK, Lean, or a comparable operating-cadence discipline. Defense, aerospace, or other regulated-industry background. Success metrics Golden-path adoption across the four product-development teams Platform backlog delivered within planned capacity, with dates held rather than silently moved Intake-to-start time for a new platform request Delivery-metric trend (DORA) for teams on the platform Operating-cadence health: plan managed proactively, escalations raised early Why this role A platform only pays off if teams actually use it and the work behind it stays on plan. This role owns both: the front door for platform demand and the cadence that keeps delivery predictable. You will turn a roadmap into a managed program, drive a shared standard across teams you do not control, and hold the plan to standard work.
